Getting there

The paperwork and the flying, handled end to end by our office.

  • Return flights from Toronto

    Economy return airfare on a single group booking — out to Jeddah, home from Madinah, so you never retrace your steps. Checked baggage and seat allocation are arranged for the group, and the masjid holds the booking so nobody is left chasing an airline.

  • Umrah visa, start to finish

    Our office files every visa through Nusuk on your behalf. You hand in your passport and photographs at the masjid; we do the rest and return it to you before departure.

  • Someone waiting at every airport

    A representative meets the group airside in Jeddah and again in Madinah. No queueing alone at immigration in an unfamiliar terminal after a ten-hour flight.

Both hotels are close enough to walk to prayer, which is the whole point.

  • 9 nights in Makkah

    Swissotel Al Maqam, inside the Abraj Al Bait complex. You reach the Haram through a covered, air-conditioned concourse — a walk of a few minutes, indoors, at any hour and in any weather.

  • 5 nights in Madinah

    Anwar Al Madinah Movenpick, facing the central piazza of Masjid an-Nabawi. Step out of the lobby and you are at the gates.

  • Rooms sorted for you

    The masjid office allocates rooms once the group is final — families kept together, brothers and sisters separated. There is nothing for you to choose or negotiate.

    Buffet breakfast and dinner at both hotels for all 14 nights. You are never working out where to eat late at night or after Fajr.

  • Guided ziyarat in both cities

    Visits to the historical sites of Makkah and Madinah with the Imam explaining what happened where, in English. Not a bus tour with a microphone — a teacher walking you through it.

  • Your Imam travels with you

    Shaykh Abdullah Rahman is with the group for the entire journey — leading prayers, teaching between them, and walking every pilgrim through the rites of Umrah step by step. If you have never performed Umrah before, you will not be guessing.

  • Three seminars before you fly

    Evening sessions at the masjid covering the rites in detail, what to pack, staying well in the heat, and the du'a to prepare. You will know the group and the schedule before you reach the airport.

  • A group leader on call

    A dedicated coordinator travels with the group and is reachable around the clock for anything from a pharmacy run to a lost bag.

  • Ihram and Umrah kit

    Ihram garments, a supplication booklet, a travel prayer mat and a group lanyard for every pilgrim, handed out at the final seminar.

Questions

Before you register

The things families ask us most. If yours is not here, call the masjid office.

What does the deposit actually secure?

Your deposit of CAD $500 per pilgrim holds a confirmed place on the group booking — your seat in the flight allocation, your room, and your place in the visa batch. Places are released in the order deposits are received, and the group is capped at 45 pilgrims.

Is the deposit refundable?

The deposit is non-refundable once the group flight allocation is confirmed, because seats and rooms are purchased on your behalf at that point. If the trip is cancelled by the organisers for any reason, every deposit is refunded in full. Full terms are provided in your registration confirmation email.

When is the remaining balance due?

The balance is due by January 23, 2027. You may pay it in one payment or arrange an instalment schedule with the masjid office — please raise this at registration so we can note it on your file.

How are rooms allocated?

By the masjid office, once the group is confirmed. Families are kept together and brothers and sisters are roomed separately. If you are travelling alone, you will be roomed with others from the group. Tell us at registration if you have a specific request and we will do our best.

Do I need a mahram to travel?

Saudi regulations no longer require a mahram for women aged 18 and over travelling in an organised group. Sisters travelling without a mahram are welcome and are roomed with other sisters from the group. Please speak with the Imam if you have questions about this.

What documents do I need?

A passport valid for at least six months beyond March 26, 2027, two recent white-background photographs, and proof of meningitis (ACWY) vaccination given at least ten days before departure. We collect all of this after registration — nothing is needed to submit the form.

How physically demanding is the trip?

Expect to be on your feet for several hours a day, largely walking on marble in and around the Haramain. Wheelchairs are available at both mosques and the coach drops directly at the gates. If you have a mobility concern, tell us at registration and we will plan around it.

Can I bring my children?

Yes — this is a family group and children are very welcome. Infants under two travel at a reduced fare, and children sharing a room with two paying adults are quoted individually. Contact the masjid office for a family quote before submitting a deposit.

Who is actually operating the trip?

Travel arrangements, visas and hotels are handled by Umrah Companions, a licensed Umrah operator. Masjid Al-Noor Islamic Centre organises the group and Shaykh Abdullah Rahman leads it spiritually throughout. Your payment is processed by the operator through a secure payment gateway.

What if I register and the group fills up?

Registrations are processed strictly in the order deposits clear. If the group is full when your deposit arrives, we contact you within two business days, refund the deposit in full, and offer you first place on the waiting list.
